COSON House Brings Laughter To Children On Children’s Day

On Tuesday, May 27, the third day of the master-blaster COSON Week 2025, a day celebrated as Children’s Day across Nigeria, the magnificent COSON House in Ikeja Lagos, the Headquarters of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Nigeria’s biggest copyright collective management organization, was stormed by Nigerian children between the ages of 10 and 15 years for a special event tagged “Children’s Day at COSON House”

“Children’s Day at COSON House” is one of the seven distinct events targeted at different strata of the society, slated for the much-advertised “COSON Week 2025” lighting up the city of Lagos during the week of May 25 to May 31, with the enchanting mantra, NIGERIA WILL RISE AGAIN!

At COSON House, the children did a big photo shoot on the red carpet. They were also treated to a live performance at the beautifully decorated COSON House Arena by the young singing sensation, KASI. The children were then taken through a one -hour lecture on the Rudiments of Copyright by the copyright guru himself; the Chairman of COSON, Chief Tony Okoroji.

The young ones were thereafter made to write an exam based on what they had learnt from Chief Okoroji. There was a lot of singing, dancing and merriment after they were served lunch.

A panel of COSON Board members made up of the COSON General Manager, Mrs. Bernice Eriemeghe Ashibuogwu; Gospel Music star, Kenny Saint Brown; renowned drummer and producer, Richard Ayodele Cole and famed producer, Chief Uche Emeka Paul, declared Miss Oluyomi Olaoluwayimika from Fountain of Greatness Academy Lagos as the best student. She scored the highest mark and received a cash prize of N100,000 and a certificate declaring her the COSON Young Copyright Ambassador of 2025.

Miss Hamza Nana Basira of Ojudu Junior High School came second and went home with fifty thousand naira.

Miss Ocha Delight of Bolade Senior Grammar School who came third pocketed thirty thousand naira. Each of the children went home with a bag full of goodies.

The children will never forget their Children’s Day at COSON House, the day they took photos with the likes of Sir Shina Peters and enjoyed unlimited fun. Every child who spoke, thanked COSON for a memorable experience.
